These guys are the most important element of the team... :) Without them we would be sitting at home on our arses following the race online. So a big thankyou to them all, hopefully they wont kill each other before we reach the finish in Navan.!
Colm
Team manager. Triathlete and cyclist with the Eire Og team in Sligo.
Jesse
Mechanic and cook. Also been known to turn a pedal on the BMX track, if only we could get him to try riding a proper bike.
Joe
Driver. (if any of you ever plan on robbing a bank and need a fast getaway driver, Joe is the man, Schumacher wouldnt stand a chance against him) :) Joe rides with Western Lakes and along with his brother Padraig is the current Irish Tandem TT Champion.
Jimmy
Navigator and driver. Will be aiming to keep Dr. M under control for the duration of the event. Apparently he has been spotted in the local NCF store purchasing an electric cattle prod.... :)
Ray Mac
Driver and navigator
Ray S
Driver and navigator. Ex sprinter from Westport, formerly known as Bontempi of the west.
Brendan
Driver and navigator.
Tony
The fetch it guy. Tony has more experience than the rest of us put together. Has rode numerous Ras Tailteanns. Championship medals at both national & provincial levels at many different disciplines, and has been at the helm of the Eire Og in Sligo for a few years.! Indeed Tony tells us that when he started riding, bikes had neither gears nor brakes, and they raced on grass. Jaysus....!
Jim
Masseur and navigator. Jim is well experienced in the needs of the ultra endurance cyclist. He is currently participating in the 32 county challenge and has completed theMizen to Malin bike ride on more than one occasion.
Greg
Resident vampire and Dr. Maboose...! Greg will be stealing our blood, spit and pee every couple of hours. And no he's not some sorta freakin weirdo, he is part of the Clarity team who are studying the Team Connacht riders in the Race Around Ireland.
