Padraig
The workhorse of the team. Padraig has won numerous Connacht and National Championship medals. He is the current Irish Tandem Time Trial Champion along with his brother Joe. He also holds the record for the gruelling Mize to Malin head ride so is no stranger to ultra endurance racing. In June of this year he spearheaded a team of riders to break the 20 hour mark for the same route. Padraigs strength and experience are going to play a huge part in the success of Team Connacht in the event. He can only be described as a "Beast" of a man!
Noel
Noel rides for the Covey Wheelers in Westport and although he has not been riding for too many years he still has plenty of silverware on the mantlepiece at home. Noel was one of the riders to complete the Mizen to Malin trip earlier this year and is well aware of rigours of the challenge ahead of him. Nevertheless he is looking forward to the race and intends to keep it 110%.
Daire
Daire rides for the Eire Og team in Sligo and has been racing the bike since he was knee high to a grasshopper. He is an ex Connacht Hill Climb Champion and has many other Connacht medals to his name. A virgin in terms of ultra endurance racing on the bike but has lots of quality experience in the sleep deprivation department. He says he is looking forward to having a pint in Johnny Foxes pub on the final leg of the race.....!
Mick
Little brother of Noel and like his sibling races with the Covey Wheelers in Westport.
Mick is also an ex Connacht Champion. He is a former rugby player and an expert in the field of advenure races.
